Hi 👋
The UAE is a place full of attractions, where every visit brings something new to discover. In the first part (which you can find here), we covered the must-see spots, but as it quickly turned out—the list keeps growing!
This post is an addition to the list of places we believe are worth visiting. We’ll keep updating it as we discover new spots because the truth is—you can spend a lot of time in the UAE and still keep finding new things worth seeing. 😊
Take a look at our previous posts
If you’re interested in the United Arab Emirates, be sure to check out our previous articles, where we share our top experiences, must-see attractions, and practical tips. The UAE isn’t just about Dubai and Abu Dhabi—there are plenty of less obvious places that are definitely worth exploring!
We also recommend checking out our posts about Qatar, which we had the chance to explore during this trip. It’s a country full of surprises and definitely worth considering—whether for a short getaway or a longer stay.
How did we get to Dubai?
This time, we flew to the UAE with Qatar Airways, making a stop in Qatar along the way. We started with exploring the capital, and then, as part of the same booking, took a flight from Qatar to Sharjah—it was the cheapest option, so it was an easy decision. The return to Poland was also via Qatar.
The flight from Doha to Sharjah lasted just 45 minutes in the air. We had barely taken off when the crew quickly handed out a small snack, and before we knew it, we were already descending. Smooth, comfortable, and without any surprises.
And Sharjah Airport? Well… nothing to get excited about. It’s simple and functional—good for getting through quickly and moving on.
Pro tip: Polish travelers can use the smart gates for passport control. The queues for manual immigration can be extremely long, so it’s worth keeping this in mind to save time and avoid unnecessary waiting.
Global Village
Global Village in Dubai is a place that truly impresses with its sheer size and diversity. Imagine a theme park mixed with a marketplace, where every corner of the world has its own pavilion. It’s like taking a trip around the globe in a single evening. The venue markets itself as a cultural festival, promising traditional music, dance, and supposedly authentic products from various regions. Sounds great, right? Well, the reality is a bit more complicated.
What can you find here? Mainly pavilions representing different countries and regions. Each one tries to recreate the atmosphere of its culture through architecture, music, food, and products. That being said, some stalls feel like tourist traps. In certain pavilions, vendors can be quite pushy, and the quality of goods isn’t always the best. It’s hard to tell if you’re buying authentic handicrafts or mass-produced souvenirs, as many items look cheap and made specifically for tourists.
Prices can also be overinflated, so if you’re planning to shop, haggling is a must. Otherwise, you might end up paying a lot for something that turns out to be a generic souvenir. That doesn’t mean there’s nothing interesting to find in Global Village—you just need to be aware that the authenticity of some products is questionable.
Beyond the food stalls and souvenir shops, Global Village offers plenty of entertainment. There are concerts, cultural performances, and even an amusement park with rides and games for both kids and adults. In the evenings, fireworks light up the sky, adding a magical atmosphere to the experience.

Miracle Garden in Dubaju
Miracle Garden in Dubai is a massive floral park, resembling a colorful oasis in the middle of the desert. Opened in 2013, it is promoted as the world’s largest natural flower garden, covering 72,000 m² and showcasing over 150 million flowers arranged in various designs.
At first glance, it’s visually impressive—among the installations, you’ll find a giant Airbus A380 covered in flowers and an 18-meter-tall Mickey Mouse topiary, which even made it into the Guinness World Records. The garden is open seasonally, from November to May, as Dubai’s summer heat would be too extreme for the flowers to survive.
Jadzia loved it—the whole place looks like something out of a fairy tale and is visually well-designed. Plus, as a huge Smurfs fan, she was excited to visit their village (xD). I, on the other hand, had mixed feelings—after a while, everything started to look pretty much the same, with similar flower arrangements repeating throughout. And the ticket price… for what you actually get, it felt a bit overpriced.
However, we both agree on one thing—the souvenir vendors are annoying. At every turn, someone is trying to push cheap trinkets, which feel completely out of place in a setting like this.
I wouldn’t call it a tourist trap, because the garden is well-maintained and visually impressive. But is it worth the rather high ticket price? That depends. If you love floral displays and are looking for beautiful photo spots, you’ll probably enjoy it. However, if you’re expecting a more diverse and unique experience, you might end up feeling a bit underwhelmed.

Ski Dubai
Ski Dubai is truly something incredible—imagine a ski slope inside a shopping mall, in the middle of the desert! Located in Mall of the Emirates, this indoor ski resort covers 22,500 square meters of snow-covered terrain, maintaining a constant temperature of -1°C year-round. Opened in 2005, it was the first facility of its kind in the Middle East.
Inside, you’ll find five slopes of varying difficulty, including the longest one at 400 meters. There’s even a black run for advanced skiers! If skiing or snowboarding isn’t your thing, there’s a 3,000-square-meter Snow Park featuring a sledding track, slides, and an ice cave. And for something truly unique—if you’ve ever wanted to meet penguins, this is your chance! Several times a day, interactive sessions let visitors get up close with these adorable creatures.
All the gear—skis, snowboards, and winter clothing—is included in the ticket price, so there’s no need to worry about bringing anything extra. It’s a truly unique experience, especially when you realize that outside, it’s scorching hot, yet here you are, skiing in the middle of the desert.

Kite Beach
I remember Kite Beach during the COVID days—it was almost empty, just a few people strolling along the shore, quiet and peaceful. And now? A complete contrast! The beach is buzzing with life—people are out enjoying water sports, jogging along the promenade, kids playing on playgrounds, and the cafés and food trucks are packed with visitors.
This is one of those places in Dubai that’s perfect for both relaxation and active fun. You can sit on the sand and take in the view of Burj Al Arab or try kitesurfing, as the wind conditions here are ideal for it. For those who prefer running or cycling, there’s a great coastal track that makes for an enjoyable ride or jog along the shoreline.
One thing is certain—Kite Beach is back to life, and now it’s a place where you actually want to spend time!
Summary
Of course, we haven’t listed everything Dubai has to offer—there are so many attractions that you could spend months here and still keep discovering new places. And let’s not forget—Dubai is just one part of the UAE. Each emirate has its own unique spots and character, making the country so much more than just one city.
What we’ve shared here is just another addition to our list of must-see places, but we’re sure there’s still plenty more to surprise us. If we discover something new, this post will definitely keep growing! 😊
